Rohan Schuppan from Lunarr Advisory provides specialist advice in public transport, focusing on the following areas:

Rohan has 20 years experience in the rail industry. He has played a major role in the planning of railways throughout Australia covering metropolitan, light-rail, heavy-haul and freight operations. He has provided advice to government agencies at all levels, rail operating companies, mining companies and infrastructure constructors.

After commencing his career in the oil industry, strategy consulting and as a Business Development and Operational Planning manager within Queensland Rail, Rohan founded the specialist rail operations and strategic planning company Systemwide in 1998. He then built the company to become the most successful firm in Australia operating in this highly specialised area with 13 full-time staff. In 2010, Rohan successfully negotiated and sold the business to Scott Wilson, which was then soon after acquired by URS.

Rohan is adept at guiding strategy by understanding the important influence of rail operations on the success of railways, through the impacts on the customer experience, capital investment and the on-going cost of operations. He also has a strong capability in the business case assessment of rail projects and how rail operations plays a critical role in this process.
